How worried are you about your finances this Christmas?
As the festive season nears, we want to hear from you about your Christmas budgeting.
For many, Christmas is the most expensive time of the year.
Whether it's buying presents, preparing Christmas dinner with all of the trimmings or celebrating with friends and family, spending over the festive period quickly adds up.
In fact, three-quarters of children and young adults aged 11 to 21 think Christmas will be an anxious time for their parents and other family members because of money worries, according to charity Action For Children.
Consumer figures have also suggested it's “unlikely to be a bumper Christmas for all” as many consumers remain focused on budgeting amid the cost of living crisis.
Food bank network Trussell Trust said the number of people still facing hunger and hardship across the UK continues to be “heartbreaking”, with 277,000 people – including adults and children – being referred to food banks in the Trussell network for the first time in the last six months.
What do you think?
That's why we want to hear from you about how you're tightening your belts this year.
Perhaps you're changing your cut of meat or skipping it altogether; celebrating Christmas closer to home because of escalating travel costs; or opting for a Secret Santa rather than buying gifts for the whole family.
Have your say in our poll below, then leave your comment here and tell us how you feel about the Christmas financial squeeze - and what cutbacks and savings you plan to make this year.
Come back on Monday to see the results of the poll.
