Christmas fun still to be had as classic panto story still showing

Families can enjoy the Christmas feeling for a little longer.

Tickets are selling fast for the Albert Halls pantomime  which this year is the classic Jack aand the Beanstalk starring Maureen Nolan and Coronation Street’s Connie Hyde, a newbie to the world of panto.

Playing the Fairy Sunshine and Poison Ivy, the two are proving a huge hit.

Maureen  says she loves every minute of her time on stage especially panto.

She said: “It’s such goof fun so when the calls come, of course I say yes and I love Bolton.

“It’s a great place to be and The Albert Halls is a stunning location here that I’ve seen a few times.

“And it’s good to see the children loving it too.

“It’s good to be back after Covid as well, putting on these shows in time for Christmas is exhilarating and we’re excited to see the children love it.”

The show runs till January 1 for those who may not have time before the big day.

Connie said: “The Albert Halls in Bolton is so beautiful, I’ve come here and I love it.

“The structure of the building is gorgeous, and we have so much fun rehearsing and performing here.

“Bolton seems like a friendly place and even going outside to Le Mans Crescent, it’s all such a pretty place but I love the markets the most.”

Connie used to work as an usher at the Octagon when she was in her teens which set her on a path to a career in the theatre.

The cast are excited to be performing in Bolton and welcome families to see them perform.
