As the festive season fast approaches, with Christmas adverts filling our TV screens, seasonal treats appearing in cafes, and a smattering of snowfall across parts of the UK this week, the nation is split on when to officially kick off the celebrations. While some firmly believe that November is too early for Christmas cheer, others have already fully embraced the holiday spirit.

The age-old debate about the appropriate time to erect the Christmas tree is still going strong, with many waiting until the 1st of December before decking their halls. Yet, Christmas lights are already sparkling in towns across the UK, and celebs like Stacey Solomon have wasted no time in festooning their homes with festive adornments.

Despite personal inclinations to postpone the tinsel and trimmings, a simple trip to the shops or flicking on the radio could confront you with early Christmas melodies. Radio stations, including Capital and Smooth Radio, have faced criticism for their premature festive playlists.

Are you tired of hearing Mariah Carey's proclamation that all she wants for Christmas is you in November?

Or are you a Christmas enthusiast who relishes the festive period, soaking up all the merriment and adoring everything associated with the holiday season?

And what of those who don't partake in Yuletide festivities?

How do they feel, having to listen to tales of George and Andrew's merry exploits from 'Last Christmas', dodging the dreaded Whamageddon, all before the season's tunes hit full swing?

You see, Christmas anthems trigger such a marmite reaction among the public that there's now a playful competition born out of it. If you've heard of Whamageddon, you'll know it's about eluding the iconic sounds of Wham's 'Last Christmas' original mix throughout December.

Surrendering to the tune means you've been "Whamageddoned" but once you've succumbed, you're free to relish what is arguably one of the finest festive hits around.

But suppose Mariah Carey's classic 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' took over 'Last Christmas'. How quickly would people lose then perhaps within the first days or hours?

So, do you adore those Christmas melodies all year round, or do you prefer jamming to holiday hits in December alone?
