As the Christmas countdown begins, festive adverts are already appearing on our televisions, seasonal menus are being rolled out in coffee shops, and a sprinkling of snow has been seen across parts of the country. However, the question of when to start celebrating is causing a divide among Brits.

While some believe that November is too early to embrace the Christmas spirit, others have already started their festivities.

The annual debate over the appropriate time to put up the Christmas tree is in full swing, with many waiting until December 1 before decking their halls. Yet, Christmas lights are already illuminating towns across the UK, and celebrities such as Stacey Solomon have wasted no time in filling their homes with holiday decorations.

Despite personal inclinations to postpone the festive decor, a simple trip to the shops or tuning into the radio might expose you to early Christmas tunes. Radio stations, including Capital and Smooth Radio, have faced criticism for their premature festive playlists.

Are you tired of hearing Mariah Carey's declaration that all she wants for Christmas is you in November?

Or are you someone who revels in the festive period, soaking up all the good cheer and loving everything associated with the season?

And what about those who don't observe Christmas?

How do you feel about being bombarded with tales of George and Andrew's festive antics before even having a chance to take part in the Whamageddon challenge?

The topic of Christmas tunes has become so contentious that it's inspired a game. In the case of Whamageddon, the goal is to make it through December without hearing the original mix of Wham's Last Christmas.

Once you've been exposed to it, you've been "Whamageddoned" and can blissfully indulge in what's arguably one of the greatest Christmas songs ever crafted.

Perhaps the challenge should be revamped to feature Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You instead?

It's likely that most participants would be knocked out within the first few days, if not hours.

So, are you a year-round Christmas song enthusiast or do you prefer to save the festive jams for December?
