A new Christopher Robin trailer is here

From Digital Spy

A new trailer for the forthcoming Christopher Robin film is finally here.

The film is directed by World War Z's Marc Forster and stars Ewan McGregor in the title role, which sees an older Christopher Robin reunite with the adorable toys of his youth when they come to find him in the adult world.

According to a previous synopsis, Winnie the Pooh (voiced by original voice artist Jim Cummings) reappears in his old friend's life just as Christopher is at risk of losing his wife Evelyn (Hayley Atwell) and daughter Madeline (Bronte Carmichael) due to his slavish devotion to his work.

Christopher Robin's first trailer debuted back in March, and this new look premiered on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday (May 25).

The film is due for release in August and also features the voices of Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, Sophie Okonedo as Kanga and Chris O'Dowd as Tigger.

"In those older stories, [Christopher] purveys a lot of wisdom through the way he deals with Pooh. Pooh and Eeyore run through a lot of philosophical questions, and Christopher Robin is there to answer them somehow," McGregor explained previously.

"And I think, largely, he's just lost any of that childish wisdom and he's a bit stuck. He's just very work-minded and doesn't have any time for play. I suppose that's what the film is about: finding his relationship with his younger self again."

Can't wait!

Christopher Robin opens on August 3 in US cinemas and August 17 in the UK.
