Chucky creator teases TV spin-off
Cult cinema favourite Child's Play, the demonic film series depicting the murderous rampage of a possessed doll, may soon be coming to a TV near you.
Also known as Chucky, the franchise already has seven creepy films under its belt, though the horror franchise's creator Don Mancini is now teasing that things could be taken one step further on the small screen with a mysterious video posted to Twitter on June 22.

The video in question merely states: "Child's Play the TV series - do not adjust your set" alongside imagery of the franchise's diminutive serial killer.
Fans of the evil doll have more than enough films to whet their appetites, but initial reactions to Mancini's cryptic tweet were thrilled to say the least.
Great news, but I hope there will still be a sequel to Cult!

While we'll have to wait and see what comes of the tease, back in 2014, Mancini was lining up a potential Annabelle collaboration by admitting that he'd love to see Chucky come face-to-face with New Line Cinema's latest creepy doll character.
"I am hoping that at some future point we have Annabelle and Chucky team up. I can see that [even] in 20 years from now," he said at the time.
"We would be into it, the only problem is that we are in different studios. That would probably be years worth of red tape to work it out, but if it all could be worked out, then yes, we're very into it."
Now that would be the ultimate creepy doll dream for horror fans... or more like nightmare.
