Cilla Black’s Life To Be Turned Into A West End Show?

It has been reported that Cilla Black attempted to have her life turned into a West End show before she died earlier this month, aged 72.

The entertainer, who had been in the spotlight for five decades, apparently held many meetings with theatre officials in order to get the ball rolling, but the project was put on hold.

However, production companies are now eager to give Cilla her final wish, and they aim to have the show put on stage in her honour.

Is there a way to prebook tickets from now? Because we really need to see this.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, a source dished: “Cilla had a meeting with producers interested in turning her life story into a musical.

“She had actually granted them permission but it wasn’t the right time.

“Now people are swarming around the rights. it seems the perfect time to bring her fairytale story to the stage. She led an incredible life both professional and personally.

“If done in the right way, it would be a huge hit and sell out every night.”

We don’t doubt it.

Following her huge success playing Cilla in the ITV drama about the star, Sheridan Smith is apparently in the pipeline to reprise her role on the stage.

The insider added: “Sheridan’s portrayal was wonderful. She’s a great singer and more than capable of making the role her own.”

We reckon that this will be the perfect way to honour Cilla following her tragic death.
