Cindy Crawford’s son Presley Gerber has been charged for driving under the influence.

Gerber, who is a model, was initially arrested by the police for the DUI at the start of the year when he was reportedly caught speeding through Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, the L.A. District Attorney’s Office filed charges for driving under the influence and for having a blood alcohol content of .08 whilst driving.

If the 19 year old is found guilty of the misdemeanour, he could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 (£764) fine.

If convicted, Presley will automatically have his driver’s license suspended for at least a year.

Following the initial reports surrounding his arrest, Gerber’s lawyer insisted that he had never been arrested and didn’t have a criminal record.

In a statement to the news website, Presley’s lawyer Scott Spindel said: “Presley Gerber takes this very seriously and is taking the necessary steps to address the allegations.”

Crawford and Randy Gerber’s son has a successful modelling career having walked in fashion shows for Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger and Prabal Gurung.

Gerber had previously revealed his plans to go back to college. In an interview with People in 2018, the model said: “It’s not looking like I’m going to be heading there any time soon but it is definitely still in the back of my mind somewhere. I wanted to go for a minute and then I just started working. And now I’m having so much fun, it’s like: Don’t fix it if it’s not broken.”

Crawford recently spoke about her children during an interview with Town & Country.

“I didn’t find that hard to do at all, actually. Kids don’t always listen, but they are always watching what you do,” she said last year.

“If you’re polite to people, they learn to be polite. If you make family time a priority, they don’t even question spending time together. You lead by example.”
