The Circle spoilers follow.

The Circle said goodbye to one of its most divisive players last night (March 31), as Gemma, aka James, aka Hunter from Gladiators, was blocked.

But tonight's episode (April 1) saw another blocking, and this time it was a fan-favourite who was removed from the game: Vithun.

Viewers warmed to the young accountant due to his love of dressing up and him opening up about struggling to fit in in real life and wanting to be the first Asian winner of a UK reality TV show.

Over the last week or so within the famous block of flats, Vithun has faded into the background and not made much of an impression, good or bad. He came low in the ratings and faced being blocked instead of Gemma.

Opening up to Manrika and Andy about an anonymous comment he made about Manrika's relationship with Felix being fake (which is fair, seeing as she's never met Felix, who is actually Natalya), Vithun admitted to trying too hard to be "edgy and cool".

Although Manrika said she forgave Vithun and proposed a fresh start, she became an influencer alongside Felix/Natalya tonight and decided that it was time for him to go...

Unsurprisingly, viewers weren't impressed:

The blockings are coming thick and fast now ahead of next Friday's finale. But, as you might have seen in the ad breaks, casting is open for a possible series 4, while a second season of the US version begins in less than two weeks on Netflix.

The Circle continues tomorrow night (April 2) at 10pm on Channel 4.
