The Circle wrapped up its second series last night (October 18) and we're not sure what we're going to talk to people in the office/streets/queue at Burger King about now we're not getting solid gold cliffhangers multiple times a week.

One of the show's best moments is when a get player gets blocked and gets to meet someone else face-to-face.

We get the shots of them walking down the blue corridor (a completely separate floor that is filmed at a different time), there's a knock on the door, everyone in their own rooms does a dramatic turn and one of them gets a visitor.

One thing everyone has been asking is what is happening when the players do their dramatic turns. Do they all get a knock? Are they reacting to the sounds of crew members walking about? Is there no sound at all and they are just doing it for a reaction shot?

Well, when Paddy spoke exclusively to Digital Spy after his shocking but well deserved win, we couldn't help but ask what the deal was, and he was happy to fill us in.

"It's actually a fake knock," he said. "Everyone gets a fake knock at the same time so you all think it's gonna be you.

"You're all in shock, because you hear it and you're all absolutely shitting it. That's why everyone gets so over-excited.

"You can't go to the door, you have to wait. So when the knock happens and they don't come in, after two minutes you're overwhelmed with excitement."

At first, Paddy thought no-one came to visit him because they thought he was boring, but he knows that isn't the case because, as he puts it, "I won the f**king thing."

Reaction to the mixed reception to his win from social media, Paddy stated that: "It did take the nation by shock, but it shows you don't have to be an original and you don't have to be an influencer.

"I know that in some ways I've divided opinion but I gave a voice to a minority group. That show showed me that I should love me for who I am."
