A "circus with a purpose" is returning to Coventry with two free inclusive shows. The performance has been been adapted for children with disabilities and learning needs, with a lower volume and lights toned down.

The Circus Starr troupe features jugglers, acrobats and artists from around the globe. Ringmistress Mariska Gandey will oversee proceedings in Coventry alongside Brazilian clown, Lukinha and acrobat Fingers Crossed.

The non-profit organisation, which relies on donations, says this year’s event will be held indoors rather than in a Big Top Tent due to "rising costs and logistical challenges". Tickets for the event are free and will be distributed to schools, charities, and organisations. Families can also apply to attend.

Fundraising director Michelle Crossley said: "We love sharing our magical art form with those who usually miss out. I am so happy that we can still share a fabulous show with the community, despite the challenges we are currently facing.

"Thank you so much to all the businesses who have helped us continue our valuable work in their town."

The community interest company - which describes itself as a "circus with a purpose" - relies on donations to be able to hold its events. To help, call 01260 288690 or email
