Citroen confirms pricing for C4 and e-C4

Citroen has announced pricing and specifications for its new C4 and electric e-C4 models.

The standard C4 starts from £20,990, and brings a wealth of equipment as standard. Entry-level ‘Sense’ specification cars feature LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels and a 10-inch touchscreen display with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

‘Sense Plus’ specification builds on this with the addition of a head-up display, LED interior lighting and a rear parking camera and electrically folding wing mirrors – among other features. It’s priced from £23,840.

‘Shine’ trim level – the next in line – adds tinted rear windows, additional safety equipment including speed limit information and adaptive cruise control and keyless entry too. This specification starts from £26,390.

Finally, ‘Shine Plus’ brings a premium audio system with subwoofer, as well as black leather upholstery, electric adjustment for the driver’s seat and additional USB sockets. Shine Plus starts from £27,590.

Three petrol engines will be available on the C4, alongside two diesels. There’s the choice between a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox, too.

Citroen has also revealed that its new e-C4 will start from £29,190, inclusive of the Government’s plug-in car grant. This rises to £30,130 for Shine-specification cars, or £31,330 for Shine Plus cars.

All e-C4s cars come with a 50kWh battery linked to a 100kW electric motor. Citroen claims that it’ll return up to 217 miles from a single charge, while CCS charging acceptance means that an 80 per cent charge can be achieved in just 30 minutes via a 100kW rapid charger. When using a 7.4kW home wallbox, a 100 per cent charge can be returned in seven hours and 30 minutes.

Both the C4 and e-C4 are available to order now.
