City bypass: Edinburgh drivers issued warning as traffic at standstill following incident

Traffic on the Edinburgh City Bypass has come to a standstill following a road incident.

Traffic Scotland reported there is currently an incident on the bypass eastbound at Old Craighall at around 11.09am on Saturday, May 18.

Drivers have been warned to expect delays as the A720 Eastbound at Old Craighall is restricted.

Motorists have been advised to approach with caution and Traffic Scotland has reported heavy traffic in the area as it has come to a standstill on Saturday afternoon.

Vehicles can be seen tailing up the road for miles and queues are continuing to build up through the major road.

On the website, Traffic Scotland wrote: "The A720 Eastbound at Old Craighall is restricted due to a road traffic incident. Motorists should approach with caution and expect delays in the area."
