New city centre cocktail and pool bar opening tonight
A new pool bar named Rackemup launches tonight, January 31, on Seel Street. The venue is run by couple Daniel Fox and Emma Henry who hope to run it as a friendly and welcoming space that all ages can enjoy.
Rackemup inherits the basement space previously occupied by ball pit cocktail bar, Ball Park. Renovations have transformed the space with nine televisions, six pool tables and several darts boards available for tonight's grand opening.
Guests can enjoy a virtual darts experience that allows players to take on opponents around the world through a live digital scoring system. Rackemup also has an on-site kitchen offering a classic sports bar menu with pizza, burgers, chips and wings.

Rackemup will be available for all ages to enjoy throughout the day until 9pm. The space is available for private hire and pool clubs to use as their regular hangout.
After 9pm, the venue then switches to an adult-focused atmosphere open until late. Guests can expect cocktails and a DJ.
Rackemup launches tonight on Seel Street. You can make a booking here. The venue is the latest addition to the area after a jazz bar named Ruby's opened in November.
The underground venue offers guests a "timeless and elegant" experience inspired by the culturally rich and upbeat jazz age of the 1930s. Ruby's will host regular live music in the vein of New Orleans-style jazz evenings and prohibition nights. The atmosphere opts for that of a speakeasy with low lighting undercut by intense ruby neon lights.
The bar also offers bottomless brunches, cocktail masterclasses and will host a Great Gatsby themed New Year's Eve event. Televisions have been thoughtfully placed around the venue to broadcast live sports while respecting Ruby's "classy" design aesthetic.
