City centre restaurant giving away free Sunday roasts with a twist
Maray on the Royal Albert Dock is giving away 150 free Sunday roasts with no catch. All diners have to do is call in, grab a roast and enjoy.
The offer is available while roasts last and can be ordered from midday on Sunday, September 29. The One O’Clock Gun, which is next door, will act as a waiting room with live music to keep the queue entertained.
Maray takes inspiration from the Parisian arrondissement of Le Marais, a neighbourhood renowned for its Middle Eastern cuisine. The restaurant's take on a Sunday roast is a reimagining of the British classic, with the giveaway celebrating the new arrival on the menu.

Yorkshire puddings and classic roast veggies are paired with crispy fenugreek potatoes and butternut squash tershi, a classic spiced dip found on all Libyan dining tables. Guests can choose from a lemon, za’atar and saffron spiced chicken, roast beef sirloin or spiced chickpea nut roast.
Everything will be drenched in unlimited gravy and with a side of cauliflower cheese. For dessert, there's Baklava cheesecake: a Baklava base, sumac, pistachio and salted caramel piled atop a creamy, rich slice.
Once all 150 roasts are gone this Sunday, Maray will close its doors after what will be no doubt a busy shift. But never worry, you can still grab a roast every weekend afterwards.
Maray's Sunday roasts will be available at both the Manchester and Liverpool restaurants, starting from £19pp. Maray's Bold Street venue will continue serving its normal menu on Sundays, so if you want a roast, head to the Royal Albert Dock. No booking is required for the giveaway, but you can still make a general booking here.
