Civilians Work to Repair Heavily Damaged Kyiv Suburbs

Civilians in the suburbs west of Kyiv are cleaning up the damage caused by the Russian invasion as trenches and shells remain, footage from the region shows.

Video recorded by Maria Avdeeva shows substantial damage to shops and residential buildings in the western Kyiv suburbs of Makariv and Borodyanka. Her footage also shows a backyard trench, which she wrote was Russian.

Avdeeva wrote: “No matter how terrified people are, they say that victory belongs to Ukraine and are ready to work and rebuild what was destroyed.”
