Clean grease from your oven without scrubbing using kitchen scrap in DIY method
Oven cleaning is one of those colossal tasks that can seem to take an entire day, especially when tackling the glass door.
The oven door endures a lot from the constant opening and closing, to spills of sauces, and the accidental touch with greasy hands, it's a battlefield of stains and smears.
The inside of the oven door bears the full force of cooking activities. It gets splattered with sauces, smeared with grease, and often showcases a collage of burnt-on food remnants.
Rather than reaching for chemical-laden oven cleaners or the classic white vinegar and baking soda mix, one cleaning aficionado has suggested using an item you might otherwise throw away.
Taking to her Instagram account @tanyahomeinspo, Tanya demonstrated how to clean ovens using orange peels in a post, reports the Express.
She explained that oven grime can be "easily" dealt with by combining water with orange peels. Simply place water and orange peels into an oven-safe dish and heat it in the oven for 20 minutes.
Tanya described: "The heat and the ingredient work to lift off all of the grease in your oven and it leaves it smelling so fresh."
Responding to comments, Tanya said "defiantly" and highlighted that the orange peels can be "reused" several times.
Instagram user @ourforeverhome24 commented: "I need to buy some oranges to try this out. How do you even think of these ideas?"
One user queried the required oven temperature for this hack, to which Tanya responded: "The lowest temperature is fine for 20 minutes as long as it gets hot."
