Cleveland Police car damaged after crash with Vauxhall Corsa in Hartlepool
A Hartlepool junction was brought to a standstill following a collision involving a police car.
The incident happened at around 2.30pm on Sunday when the Cleveland Police car appears to have been in collision with a black Vauxhall Corsa. Images from the scene show the damage to the two vehicles and the police car being loaded onto a recovery truck.
The Victoria Road junction was cordoned off in both directions along York Road while emergency services dealt with the incident. The driver's air bag in the Corsa appears to have deployed.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade said they were called to the scene at 2.36pm and sent two appliances from Hartlepool station. They said crews made the scene safe.
