Closing date for Wetherspoon pub on edge of Bristol as its future confirmed
The Jolly Sailor Wetherspoon pub in Hanham looks set to remain a pub following its sale, a spokesperson for the pub chain has confirmed.
Following news that the popular venue on the edge of Bristol has been sold after some two years on the market, Wetherspoon spokesperson Eddie Gershon has confirmed that the site has been sold to another pub operator. It has not yet been revealed who, however.
Mr Gershon also confirmed the pub's last day of trading under the Wetherspoon chain - June 30.

He previously told BristolLive: "Wetherspoon has exchanged on the property and completion is set for July 5. The pub team have been briefed on this and there will be no redundancies.
"They will either be offered a job with the new owners or relocate to other Wetherspoon pubs in the region." The Jolly Sailor, which is located on the High Street, has long been described 'one of the best' in the city.
The pub chain announced that a number of its pubs, including this one in Hanham, would close in 2022 because of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the ever-rising costs of food and energy bills. In April, BristolLive reported that the pub was still seemingly on the market.
