You'd think with manufactured pop groups, the members are told not to have relationships (or to at least deny them) so they wouldn't put the fans off from buying the merch.
However, S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole famously had a relationship with fellow member Hannah Spearritt, both in real life and on the band's various TV shows.
But, despite the group literally have a (bop of a) single called 'Natural', Paul is claiming that the relationship was actually fabricated.

Speaking to The Guardian, Paul said the romance was written into the TV contracts and "because of that, it sort of happened".
He agreed that he now feels he was "forced" (the publication's word) into the relationship, but adds: "It didn’t feel like that because I had totally grown into the idea, quite quickly. I thought she was great."
He also talked about how the people behind the group never wanted him to sing, and he felt like he was brought into the group for that relationship and to "answer questions in interviews".
Paul also repeated something the members of S Club have been saying for years, that the group members made so little money because all of it went to the group's creator Simon Fuller (who the group are rumoured to have been named after too...).
