AEW's CM Punk has always been very vocal about his straight laced lifestyle, even using it as part of his character in WWE.

But it appears that one fan wasn't aware that Punk doesn't drink any alcohol after he offered him a beer during an episode of AEW Rampage.

On the September 3 episode of Rampage, Punk jumped into the crowd during his entrance and a fan could be seen trying to pass him a beer while Punk shook his head and said, "No."

Speaking about the funny incident to ET Canada, Punk proved he wasn't offended by the offer and said: "The thing that was going through my mind in that moment was, 'Man, this guy is lucky I’m not a heel right now.'

"But it was a funny moment for me. I was just like, 'This is hilarious.' Sometimes it’s not about the gift, the gesture is more important."

Punk made his debut for AEW on August 20 in his hometown of Chicago in front of a sold out crowd at the United Center.

Punk's signing with AEW marked his return to wrestling, seven years after he walked away from WWE following the Royal Rumble 2014,

Addressing the crowd during his return about his long absence from the ring, Punk said: "I was never going to get healthy staying in the place that got me sick in the first place."

Since his return to wrestling, Punk has defeated both Darby Allin and, most recently, Will Hobbs, as well as being featured on commentary.
