CM Punk's status in AEW might be up in the air but the former champion will still be a part of the company's upcoming video game.

Punk hasn't been seen on AEW television since the post-All Out media scrum, with many believing he will never return to AEW.

But before 'Brawl Out' Punk was seen on the cover of AEW's first video game Fight Forever, which is due out next year.

However, the most recent version of the game's cover art, which can be seen in the latest trailer, does not feature Punk at all, leading many fans to wonder if he's been removed from the game entirely.

But, according to Sportskeeda, Punk will still be part of the game, with AEW representatives stating that 'if anyone already shown to be a part of the game needed to be removed, they would make an announcement to the fans'.

They further stated that they expect all characters revealed to be in the game. It has also been confirmed that the game will have a 'T' for Teens rating in the US market

In November 2020, AEW announced that it was developing its first-ever console game, woking with Japanese developer Yuke's, who created WWE's video games up until WWE 2K19.

While no official release date has been announced the game is expected to arrive in February 2023. We do know the game will be available on PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Series consoles.
