Yahoo News Co-op, Waitrose, Domino's, SPAR and Harvester 'do not eat' warnings as pate, pesto and sauce products recalled
A range of products from supermarkets, takeaways and restaurants are being recalled with a warning to customers that they are "unsafe to eat".
The include pate, pesto, dip, sauce and sandwich filler items sold through Co-op, Waitrose, Domino's, SPAR and Harvester. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has published a full list of the recall information, outlining what anyone who has bought the items should do.
Some of the items may contain salmonella and listeria monocytogenes which can cause fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. Others are being recalls because they may contain peanuts which are not listed on the label, or prices of metal which make it a health hazard.

Anyone who has bought the items listed below should return them to their nearest store in exchange for a full refund. No receipt is necessary.
Here are the latest warnings, including which product batches are affected, and why they have been recalled.
Pate
Co-op has taken the precautionary step of recalling Co-op Smooth Brussels Pate because the product may contain salmonella and listeria monocytogenes. The FSA said symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
Symptoms caused by listeria monocytogenes can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea. Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems.

Pesto
Waitrose & Partners is recalling No1 Pesto alla Genovese because Salmonella has been found in the product. The product details are:

Dips, sandwiches, salads, wraps and fillers
FGS Ingredients Ltd is recalling a number of products containing mustard powder because they may contain peanuts. This means these products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts. These products are sold under several different brand names at several different retail stores.
The FSA said this recall has been extended to include an additional product brand. The details are:

These products are sold under several different brand names at several different retail stores. Point of sale notices will be displayed where the products were sold. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.
Tahini
Carley’s are continuing to recall Carley’s Organic Light Raw Tahini because it may contain pieces of metal. The possible presence of metal makes this product unsafe to eat.
