Coast Guard Rescues Dog 'Lost Overboard' in North Carolina's Outer Banks
A lucky dog was rescued by Coast Guard officers after being “lost overboard” from a boat in Pamlico Sound, North Carolina, on May 14, the US Coast Guard Station Hatteras Inlet said.
Footage shows Myla, a brown dog, swimming toward a Coast Guard boat. Two officers are able to pull the struggling pooch aboard. Pictures show Myla having a much-needed rest before being returned to her family.
The Coast Guard said Myla was uninjured and reunited with her owners after being given “VIP treatment” by the boat crew. Credit: U.S. Coast Guard Station Hatteras Inlet via Storyful
