A US Coast Guard cutter seized 12,000 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of over $390 million, during a three-month counter-drug patrol in the Pacific Ocean. The Cutter Mohawk crew returned to Key West on Saturday, April 22.

In addition to the drug seizures, the crew detained 41 suspected smugglers on the 14 vessels that were stopped. At one point during the operation, the Mohawk stopped four vessels in less than 36 hours.

The crew was working with units from multiple US agencies and allied nations to conduct the operation.
