Coastguard helicopter joins night search for man missing on Conwy coast
Concerns have been raised for a man reported missing on the North Wales coast. A Coastguard helicopter is thought to have joined an overnight search.
This morning (Monday, November 18), North Wales Police (NWP) issued a 2am alert for the man, named David. No surname was provided by police. He was thought to be in Rhos on Sea or the surrounding area.
He is described as 5ft 5in with short dark-blonde hair. David was said to be wearing grey jogging bottoms and a grey hoody when last seen.

In the early hours of the morning, a Sikorsky S-92A Coastguard helicopter was heard by residents circling over the area. Leaving Caernarfon Airport around 1.45am, tracking data shows it circled over both Rhos on Sea and Colwyn Bay.
The search and rescue helicopter also flew east along the coast as far as Abergele before returning to base at around 3.50am.

Police are now appealing for the public’s help in locating David. Sightings can be reported to the NWP control room on 101 or via 999. Information can also be relayed via the force’s livechat service on the NWP homepage
