Coatbridge chemical leak warning as residents near industrial estate told to close windows
Residents in Coatbridge have been told to close their windows due to a chemical leak.
Emergency services raced to Northburn Industrial Estate in the Lanarkshire town following reports of the leak on Thursday (November 14). Police say there are no injuries and have cordoned off the area while the incident is being dealt with.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We are in attendance with partners at Cameron Street, Coatbridge, following a report of a chemical leak. There are no reported injuries, no risk to the wider public and a cordon is in place.

"Nearby residents are asked to keep their windows closed while the substance is dealt with."
The incident comes after residents were evacuated during a similar incident on the same street last week.
