Yahoo News Cold Feet gang scrap on Jeremy Kyle in first look at series 8 finale
Cold Feet meets The Jeremy Kyle Show in the show's series 8 finale tonight (February 18).
In new photos from the upcoming episode, Adam (James Nesbitt) and David (Robert Bathurst) are seen fighting on the ITV daytime show.
Why? Well, after Adam and Karen's (Hermione Norris) relationship is exposed, it causes tension with Karen's ex David and Fay Ripley's character Jenny.
The Jeremy Kyle scene, however, is just a dream, envisioned by Pete (John Thomson), who's worried his group of friends will fall out.
Earlier this series, Karen and Adam kissed while high on 'herbal cigarettes' – that's the same Karen who was best friends with the same Adam's late wife Rachel (Helen Baxendale).
Even the Cold Feet cast were taken aback by the scene.
Speaking to Radio Times, Thomson admitted: "We were like whaaaa! It was a big number really. It was a shock."
Asked if the storyline affected the cast as much as the characters, he added: "Totally. We're like family; we care about the project because we have been involved with it for so long."
"Who knew? Certainly not me," Norris added. "I signed up to this series 21 years ago. And that's the odd thing – I play Karen Marsden in Cold Feet and [writer] Mike Bullen is my puppeteer.
"It's quite an emotional thing: because you have played a character for a long time, you care deeply about the character, as their protector and champion."
Cold Feet concludes tonight at 9pm on ITV.
