Cold Front Hinders KNP Complex Firefighting Efforts in Sequoia National Park

A cold front decreased visibility for firefighters battling the KNP Complex Fire in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, hampering suppression and aircraft response as dry weather continued into Tuesday, October 12, fire officials said.

This footage filmed by Ben Holmes, who said it was filmed at Generals Highway on Monday, shows snow flurries whitening the landscape.

Over 2,000 personnel continued to fight the fire as it reached 87,467 acres (about 137 square miles) and was 30 percent contained as of Tuesday, according to InciWeb.
