Cold Snap Brings Heavy Snowfall to Australia's Snowy Mountains

A cold snap brought freezing temperatures, dumping fresh snow across Australia’s ski fields on June 6.

This footage, filmed by Valhalla Perisher, shows piles of deep snow blanketing Perisher Valley in New South Wales on Monday.

Perisher Ski Resort received 30 centimeters of snow overnight, according to Vail Resorts which owns the three ski resorts.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology wintry conditions were expected to continue through to the weekend with between 6-20mm of snow expected on Tuesday. Credit: Valhalla Perisher via Storyful
