Cold Snap Pushes Across Southern Florida

A cold front blew across southern Florida on November 30, causing temperatures to drop to lows not seen in some areas since January.

This timelapse footage shows the blustery weather moving into Fort Myers on Monday, according to Garrett Harvey, who filmed the video.

The National Weather Service reported the cold front would be passing over the Florida Keys on Monday evening, bringing higher seas and strong wind.

The cold snap brought a chill not seen since January, reports said, and showers were possible on Monday afternoon. Behind the front, temperatures were forecast to drop to the 30s and 40s for southwest Florida. Credit: @WeatherGarrett via Storyful
