Coleen Nolan breaks silence on Ruth Langsford's marriage split with Eamonn Holmes
Coleen Nolan has praised her "elegant" friend and fellow Loose Women panellist Ruth Langsford for the dignified manner in which she's dealing with her split from Eamonn Holmes. The couple, who have been married for 14 years and share a 22 year old son named Jack, announced their decision to divorce back in May, leaving fans stunned.
They've both expressed a desire to remain friends and keep things amicable post-separation. While Ruth, 64, has kept quiet about the separation, Eamonn, also 64, thanked his supporters on GB News following the announcement. He's reportedly moved on with a new partner, Katie Alexander, as Ruth continues to concentrate on her career, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Coleen reflected on her friend's situation, saying: "Ruth and I keep in touch all the time. She's back at work now, which is great because I really missed her. I don't want to say too much because it's not my business to say Ruth's life, but what I will say from a friend's point of view is, I've never met anyone that has handled something with so much dignity and pride."
Coleen went on to add: "She's just such a lady, more of a lady then I'll ever be, I would've spilled my guts right now - as I do, that's my problem, I say too much. She's been absolutely amazing, she really has." Despite offering advice to Ruth, Coleen mentioned that her co-star has not taken it.
Speaking to Woman Magazine, Coleen said: "I've given her advice but she doesn't listen to me, I'm going, 'How can you not say anything? ' But I don't need to give her advice. I just love her and I'm in awe of how she's handled everything."
Ruth and Eamonn, who married in 2010, have a son together, while Eamonn has three older children from a previous marriage. Despite their separation, both Ruth and Eamonn have been spotted still wearing their wedding rings. When questioned by a fan on social media about why she continues to wear hers, Ruth simply replied: "Because I'm still married."
It is believed that Ruth is currently living in their former shared home in Surrey, while Eamonn is staying in a rented flat in London close to GB News.
