Coleen Nolan forces trial seperation from husband - by going on Celebrity Big Brother

Well, it’s certainly one way of sorting out your marriage woes, isn’t it?

In case you hadn’t heard, Loose Women presenter Coleen Nolan’s marriage is well and truly on the rocks, with her guitarist husband Ray Fensome even recently telling her that he “doesn’t fancy her anymore.” Charming!

The 51-year-old Nolans singer’s solution to this heart-rending problem?

A stint on reality TV, of course!

“Everyone is a bit shocked but Coleen has said she will do it,” an insider told The Daily Star. “It’s a delicate time so after Christmas she might change her mind but she’s very much on board.”

Of course, Coleen’s already done a stint in the Big Brother house, appearing on the series in 2012 alongside the likes of Martin Kemp, Julian Clary and Julie Goodyear.

This year’s show, called Celebrity Big Brother’s All Stars and New Stars, will bring back some of the show’s past graduates. If Coleen does appear, she’ll be alongside Nicola McLean and Bianca Gascoigne who have already confirmed.

“We’re going to do a lot of talking over the next couple of weeks, but if we can’t fix it then I want us to have counselling,” Coleen explained earlier this month when asked about her marriage.

She also opened up about how things are affecting their 15-year-old daughter Ciara, who’s presumably seen the Sunday papers for the past couple of weeks.

“She’s not an idiot,” Coleen explained. “She notices things and she has said to me: ‘Listen mum, I love you and dad and I want you both to be happy. If you’re going to be happier apart then that’s OK. Please don’t stay because of me.’

“You worry about how it’s going to affect your kids, the boys said to me it didn’t affect them when I split from their dad.”

Celebrity Big Brother’s All Stars and New Stars is set to start on January 3. And you know what? The whole story has got us wondering whether Coleen’s husband Ray might get a call, too.
