Coleen Rooney ditches her wedding ring for new Instagram snap - is Wayne Rooney marriage over?

Coleen Rooney has caused a social media storm after removing her wedding ring for her latest Instagram snap.

The pregnant mum-of-three tried her best to ignore husband Wayne Rooney’s recent drink-drive scandal as she treated their children to a day out in Blackpool.

The star took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of herself kneeling down with four-year-old Klay and one-year-old Kit as they posed for a photo with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and fans were quick to notice that she wasn’t wearing her ring.

Commenting on the photo, Coleen’s followers praised her for focusing on her and Wayne’s young children, urging her to make “precious memories” with the three boys amid the media storm.

It was previously reported that Wayne being caught behind the wheel of Laura Simpson’s car was Coleen’s “last straw”, with the footballer being sentenced to 100 hours of community service and a two-year driving ban for driving three times over the legal alcohol limit.

Sources have claimed that Coleen believes this is the best outcome for Wayne, who acts like her “fourth child”.

An insider shared at the time: “Coleen has said the best thing that could have happened to Wayne is getting this 100-hour community service.

“She thinks this may be the shock he needs to grow up. She has always said he is like her fourth child.

“He’s one big kid. He does nothing around the house, is always fooling around – and just plays computer games.

“It’s time for Wayne to man up. The latest events are the last straw. Coleen thinks this might be the making of him.”

However, Wayne reportedly refuses to give up on his marriage, with another source telling The Sun: “Coleen is still really angry with Wayne, so he’s pretty quiet at home and keeping his head down

“But he has been gently trying to show how much he loves her by taking her out on the quiet, so they have been to the cinema together, which is something they really enjoy doing.

“Wayne is hoping that little by little, he can win Coleen around. He wants everything back to normal by Christmas.”
