Coleen Rooney hits back at ITV I'm A Celebrity viewers over their 'idea' about her

Coleen Rooney has furiously hit back at the idea that "housewives have no ambition" as she weighed in on a working mums debate. Coleen, who is a mum-of-four, clapped back at viewers' presumptions about her while in the Bush Telegraph on I'm A Celebrity.

Coleen, who is taking part in the ITV show, which is hosted by Ant and Dec, opened up during a discussion about balancing family life and career aspirations. Oti Mabuse told her: "Because I’m a dancer, it was really difficult to say when I would start having a family because my body is my job and also you have to be financially ready."

The former BBC Strictly Come Dancing star went on and added: "Eventually I’ll have to give all of this up and just dedicate my life to them because I want to be there, I want to do the school run." Coleen then offered encouragement to the star.

"You can still be a strong individual, dedicating your life to that," she said. Oti said: "I think there’s this preconceived notion that when you’re a housewife you’ve got no ambition." Coleen replied: "I come across a lot of women who find it easy to come to work and find it hard being a mum."

"I did Dancing on Ice and the amount of messages and trolling from women who were like, ‘Stay home with your baby,’ ‘Why are you out?’ and I was just like, it’s my choice," Oti said. Oti admitted: "I find it very difficult to not let those comments get to me, because I’m human."

Coleen supported Oti, the ITV Dancing On Ice star, and told her: "On the outside world, you can’t win, everyone has got an opinion. I always say don’t take it to heart because every individual is different."
