Coleen Rooney has proven her dedicated role as a mother, as the mum-of-four prepares to head into the jungle for her stint on I'm A Celebrity alongside a string of famous faces.

The 38-year-old has been busy carefully planning out her kids activities on two large whiteboards in light of her taking part on the ITV show set in Australia.

Coleen has reportedly marshalled a "village" of relatives to help care for her young ones while she takes on the jungle, meticulously outlining their schedules on "both sides" of the boards, as reported in the Mirror.

She has carefully planned for her sons Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six, by detailing every social gathering, school run and appointment for the coming month.

She's also addressed concerns regarding her health issues and their potential impact on her time in the show. With her husband Wayne, 39, busy managing Plymouth Argyle over 300 miles from their Cheshire domicile, Coleen has enlisted extended family support.

Ahead of the show, Coleen opened up on her most significant worry of leaving her children. She candidly said in an video uploaded to Instagram: "I am really anxious about leaving the kids. That's my biggest thing, and for weeks and months that's been on my mind.

"But I've come to terms with it. I've planned, I've prepped, I've got an army of people - family, friends, school friends - all helping out with the kids."

Coleen further revealed her careful preparations for being absent at home, as she continued: "They are going to be fine, they'll probably have a great time. I have prepped, as you can see behind me. That is, like, literally front and back, four weeks of timetables, football runs, parties, just everything.

"Before, I just wrote them all a little card each to open when they come home from school tomorrow, and a little teddy to keep so that they know I am constantly thinking of them."

Although not usually one for video updates on Instagram, Coleen felt the need to address her fans directly to lay out her plans and put any gossip to rest. She explained: "But I just wanted to come on and say something, I am in my pyjamas - the kids are in bed and their bags and uniforms are ready, I am taking them to school tomorrow and then I am heading to the airport. A lot of you might have heard and there has been a lot of speculation, but I can confirm I am going into the jungle."

Coleen has revealed that despite being asked for "years" to join the challenge-based reality show, she's always turned it down due to her children.

However this year, she's feeling differently and expressed: "I want to experience something different, do something for myself and meet new people. I'm really looking forward to doing the trials and there's been a lot of news saying I am exempt because of various illnesses. But I can confirm I can do every trial, so I am not excluded from any, and I am looking forward to it. While I'm away, friends are taking over my social media so hopefully they keep you updated. I am looking forward to it, it's going to be a massive change, sleeping outside and not having items with me."

She also shared her intentions to use the time on the show to "think and reflect". Before heading off, she's making Christmas preparations for her family, stating: "We've done letters to Father Christmas today so they'll get posted on the way to school tomorrow which was another thing I wanted to do before I go. I'm constantly thinking, so in there it's going to be hard having no contact but it'll give me time to reflect and think about what I'm grateful for, especially these. So I hope you enjoy the show, I hope I bring something to the table and I will see you when I get out!"
