Coleraine boss Dean Shiels hails new deal for 'intelligent' player who has 'excelled' at club

Coleraine head coach Dean Shiels has hailed Dean Jarvis after the defender signed a new contract with the club. The full-back has put pen-to-paper on an extended deal with the Bannsiders.

The 32-year-old joined Coleraine from Larne in the summer of 2022 and previously played with clubs including Dundalk, Derry City, Institute and Aberdeen Academy.

Jarvis made 39 appearances last season, including 21 in the Premiership. He scored three goals.

The Showgrounds club said: "Coleraine Football Club is delighted to announce that Dean Jarvis has extended his contract with the club. The experienced left-back, who has been an integral part of the team since joining, will continue to bring his talent and dedication to The Showgrounds."

Head Coach Shiels said: “Dean is a player that has really excelled since he has been here. He’s a really intelligent player and I’m absolutely delighted that he’s extended his deal”

Jarvis added. “I’m thrilled to be extending my stay at Coleraine,” said Jarvis. “I’m buzzing to get it over the line, I played under Dean’s father at Derry and I’m really looking forward to it."
