Coleraine FC excited to bring 'vision to life' with plans at an advanced stage

Coleraine Football Club says it looks forward to "bringing to life" its vision for a facility which will have a profoundly positive social impact on groups and individuals in the local community. The Bannsiders are one of the clubs hoping to be successful for funding after the allocation of £36.2 million through The Northern Ireland Football Fund.

The club welcomed the announcement from Communities Minister Gordon Lyons, which will see much-needed funding allocated to Irish League clubs to develop their facilities. Coleraine have detailed plans for the redevelopment of their Showgrounds venue which they say are at an advanced stage.

"To the Coleraine community, we want to reassure you that our plans are at an advanced stage," said a club spokesperson. "We are excited about the prospect of developing a modern, safe facility that will not only serve Coleraine Football Club and the wider football community, including the Super Cup NI, but also become a major community asset.
