Colin Farrell shares The Batman Part II update
Colin Farrell has provided an update on The Batman - Part II, sharing that he is yet to read the script.
The actor played the villainous Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin in Matt Reeves’ superhero film, reprising his role in HBO’ crime-drama, The Penguin.
With The Penguin concluding its run earlier this week, attention has now turned to Reeves’ follow-up to the 2022 film, with Farrell sharing that he was ready to return as the villainous mobster.

“I have no idea what the second film is gonna be. I heard Penguin features in it. I haven’t read it,” he told SiriusXM. “It’d be interesting to see where we pick up from. There’s been so much pipe laid. It’d be interesting to see where it goes from here, you know? But he would be quite different.”
Whilst Farrell seemingly has little idea about the direction of The Batman - Part II, the actor did recently state in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he had been informed about how many scenes he would feature in, with his role seemingly reduced from the first instalment.
“I was told I have five or six scenes [in The Batman - Part II],” he shared. “I don’t have any hopes or any expectations. I’m really an open book, and that’s the way I get excited by shit or not.

“I think sometimes actors, if they have a career that has a certain length of time, they sometimes get to make too many decisions. Which isn’t to say I won’t push back or argue or fight in Oz’s corner – I do believe I know him better than anyone now.”
Though Farrell doesn’t have too much information on the highly anticipated sequel, Reeves shared an update on the project back in September, explaining that the final touches were being applied to the script before filming begins in 2025.
The Batman is available to buy now on 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray and DVD.
