Scarlett Johansson, Colin Jost and Pete Davidson turned the Museum of Natural History’s annual gala into New York’s hottest club for one night only - Stefon would definitely approve.

Despite the sudden snow storm in New York, Saturday Night Live stars took to the red carpet for a party that, unlike most A-list events, took place underneath an enormous model of a blue whale.

The evening saw appearances from Cecily Strong, Leslie Jones, Tina Fey, and Kenan Thompson, turning it into a night of comedy you might actually want to go to (as opposed to the West Village ones that friends always try to drag you to).

It helped that the chairs were 30 Rock queen Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels - making it a must-attend for anyone on the NBC payroll.

But the most significant guest of the evening was Pete Davidson, making his first solo red carpet appearance since his very public split from Ariana Grande. Pete was debuting brand new baby blue hair, which perfectly matched the step and repeat's backdrop.

Scarlett Johansson and her SNL comedian boyfriend Colin Jost arrived looking very loved up. The pair made their first official appearance together at the gala last year.

Musician Sara Bareilles also performed. The singer has been pretty busy lately: she played Billie Jean King’s birthday tribute party at the New York Historical Society on Wednesday evening, which was equally star-studded. Emma Stone, Alan Cumming, and Cyndi Lauper were all in attendance.
