College Football Player Bodyslams Police Officer During Arrest

An East Kentucky University football player is facing multiple charges after he bodyslammed a police officer during an arrest on Monday, February 10.

According to reports, sophomore Michael Harris is facing a felony charge of assault and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

The incident began when officers tried to detain Harris who, while intoxicated, caused a disturbance at a business on North Meadows Drive in Grove City.

Dashcam footage released by the Grove City Police Department shows two police officers attempting to detain Harris before a scuffle ensues. The man then picks up one officer and slams him to the ground before toppling over.

The officers eventually subdue Harris and handcuff him with the help of a third officer.
