Colson Smith on 'ballsy' 'trick of the trade' Coronation Street actors use
Coronation Street actors revealed the "trick of the trade" as they described what happened when they arrived onto the ITV set. Colson Smith, Jack P. Shepherd and Ben Price took to their podcast to talk about the behind the scenes secrets on set.
The three actors, who play Craig, David and Nick have a podcast called 'On the Sofa'. In today's (January 29) episode, they talked about the arguments related to the ITV set car park.
They said being on the "front row" sets you up "for a good day at work." A passionate Colson said: "If you come into work and you're parked on row four, it's going to be a s**t start to the day."

He explained: "There is one car parking space at work which is the holy grail." When asked how it was relevant to their TV work, he added: "It's the trick of the trade to make you have a good day."
Jack revealed he was in the "gold" parking space that day, which is "right at the end of the front row, facing reception, with the shortest walk and most room to open your door."
They said you need to "turn up early" and "be ballsy" in order to land the perfect car parking space which is in high demand by all actors on set. If you get the space, "it sets you off for a good day."
The ITV actors have recently announced they are hosting a live show with the podcast. Taking to Instagram, Jack said: "We’re going LIVE again! And this time we’re coming home… well me and Cols are. 7th March, night time. (Haven’t got a time yet) I’ll stick link the in my bio. Cheap as chips."
Viewers took to the comments to express their excitement as they rushed to get tickets for the show in Leeds. One said: "Tickets booked, can't wait", another added: "Wish I’d seen this before it sold out."
It has recently been revealed that several stars are leaving the cobbles this year. In January, it was leaked that Colson would be leaving the show after a 14-year run. Joining him is Charlotte Jordon who plays Daisy, Paddy Bever who plays Max and Sue Cleaver who plays Eileen.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
