Comedian Tony Slattery dies aged 65 after heart attack
Comedian Tony Slattery, known for his witty humour on popular shows such as Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Just A Minute, and Have I Got News For You, has passed away at 65 after suffering a heart attack.
His partner, Mark Michael Hutchinson, announced the news, saying: "It is with great sadness we must announce actor and comedian Tony Slattery, aged 65, has passed away today, Tuesday morning, following a heart attack on Sunday evening."
Slattery, born on November 9, 1959, was part of the esteemed Footlights Drama Society at Cambridge University, alongside Dame Emma Thompson, Sir Stephen Fry, and Hugh Laurie.

He had continued to perform in comedy shows across England and had launched a podcast, Tony Slattery's Rambling Club, in October 2024. He is survived by his long-time partner, Mark Michael Hutchinson.
