Team Trump has quite a lot on its plate with trade deals to make, global conflicts to help solve and domestic issues in need of attention.

So comedy writer Bess Kalb was surprised to find herself "blocked" by President Donald Trump's Twitter account.

It is unknown who controls Mr Trump's social media page but Ms Kalb, who tweets the President frequently, claims she was stunned to find that she was blocked after tweeting the @realDonaldTrump page.

Ms Kalb writes for The New Yorker and The Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, but often devotes her time and talents to writing stinging ripostes to Mr Trump's social media posts.

It appears she made one joke too many and was blocked by him, prompting Ms Kalb to call the President a "snowflake".

Ms Kalb believes the smoking gun was her objection to Mr Trump's suggestion that "we add more dollars to Healthcare and make it the best anywhere. ObamaCare is dead - the Republicans will do much better!"

She accused the President of "simplistic nonsense rhetoric" and added that the issue was "so far over" his head.

In lieu of a public statement, Ms Kalb jokingly posted a video of her cat to Instagram, saying: " No mother should have to explain the President blocking her to her garbage sons."

The account has form for blocking people. In 2015, joke account @BitchestheCat was barred from seeing Mr Trump's tweets. Another user said they were blocked after mocking his hairstyle, and another user claimed they became persona non grata after accusing Mr Trump of having a "small willy".
