Comic Couple Poehler And Arnett Split Up

Saturday Night Live star Amy Poehler and her husband Will Arnett have confirmed they are separating after nine years of marriage.

A publicist for the comedy couple, who married in 2003 and have appeared in films such as Blades Of Glory and Monsters V Aliens together, said the split was "very amicable".

But Lewis Kay did not go into detail about the reasons behind their decision to separate.

They have two young sons, three-year-old Archie and Abel who is two.

Poehler, 40, became famous as a cast member on US comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live and now stars in the sitcom Parks And Recreation.

While Arnett, 42, has appeared on 30 Rock and more recently Up All Night.

The marriage was Poehler's first, and Arnett's second after he was briefly wed to actress Penelope Ann Miller.
