Company Demonstrates 'Bumper Tables' to Keep Customers Apart at Maryland Restaurant
A bar and grill in Ocean City, Maryland, has prepared to welcome customers back for inhouse dining by introducing ‘bumper tables.’
This video shows staff at Fish Tales Bar & Grill testing the tables with employees of Baltimore-based Revolution Event Design and Production, who designed the tables.
Memorial Day weekend saw visitors return to Ocean City’s beaches as the town eased restrictions allowing hotels and short-term rentals to accept guests.
Ocean City’s Mayor Rick Meehan has asked Gov. Larry Hogan to allow restaurants to partially reopen, according to WBAL-TV.
“We believe social distancing will be improved if outside dining and maybe even limited inside seating (is allowed) because where better to get people to social distance,” Meehan said. Credit: Event Revolution Design and Production via Storyful
