'Completely Blind' Koala Navigates Way Down Tree

Koala rescue and rehabilitation specialists in New South Wales shared a video of one of their residents, who is “completely blind”, deftly guiding himself down a tree on November 14.

Located just north of Sydney, Port Stephens Koala Hospital provides a wildlife shelter for marsupials in need.

In this instance, Tai the koala has been through a lot. He was rescued in 2018 after sustaining “permanent brain damage” when he was hit by a car.

Fortunately, as can be seen in this video, Tai is still able to move around and can still deftly descend from trees.

The shelter shares regular updates on the progress of the koalas in their care via its YouTube and Facebook pages. Credit: Port Stephens Koala Hospital via Storyful
