CONFIRMED: Cilla Black’s Life Story WILL Be Turned Into A West End Show

Following earlier reports that Cilla Black had been attempting to have her life turned into a West End show before she tragically passed away, aged 72, it has now been CONFIRMED that her rags-to-riches story will be brought to the stage as her son has started talking to producers.

Cilla had been in meetings with producers, who were interested in telling the story of her rise to fame, prior to her death. An industry source told The Sun, “She had actually granted them permission but it wasn’t the right time.”

Reportedly, people are now “swarming around the rights” to bring her “fairytale story to the stage” as a perfect tribute to the late entertainer’s life.

Her representative Nick Fiveash has confirmed the reports, saying: “Following recent reports in the media this is to confirm that prior to her untimely death Cilla Black had given her blessing to a West End stage product based on her life. Cilla was thrilled and excited at the idea, and was looking forward to its development.”

“Her manager, son Robert Willis, has been in continuous talks with a West End producer regarding early stages of planning, but obviously these are now on hold for the time being.”

The television star, who died in Spain earlier this month, will return to her hometown for the funeral held at St. Mary’s Church, where she formerly married her beloved Bobby in 1969.

People are being encouraged to line the streets of Liverpool on Thursday, as Nick added: “One would hope people would want to come out and remember her. We will encourage people to do that.”

We’re certain that no encouragement is necessary though, as thousands of fans are expected to attend the service and pay their final respects in a fitting send off for the well-loved star.

The route of the hearse has been made public to allow fans to say goodbye before her body is laid to rest during a private ceremony in Allerton Cemetery.
