The Conners will be enjoying a reunion during its third season, as Geena Williams-Conner is set to return after a two-year absence.

TVLine reports that Geena, played by actress Maya Lynne Robinson, will be back in Lanford for the Roseanne spin-off's season three finale, after being redeployed to Afghanistan between seasons one and two.

Geena will be making some life-changing decisions when she returns, with her choices set to impact not just herself but her husband DJ Conner (Michael Fishman) and their young daughter Mary Conner (Jayden Rey), too.

The Conners' third season has also revealed the circumstances around the off-screen death of Mark Healy, with his widow Becky (Lecy Goranson) opening up about the freak motorcycle accident he suffered.

Actor Glenn Quinn, who played Mark in Roseanne, died in 2002 of a drug overdose and his death was referenced during Roseanne's revival season, but episode 'Cheating, Revelations and a Box of Doll Heads' saw Becky reveal what had happened to him.

She also explained that losing Mark had been a huge influence on her drinking.

Earlier this year, the sad news was announced that a technical crew member working on The Conners had died on Stage 22 of the CBS Studio Center in Los Angeles, where the show is filmed.

After the tragic incident, a spokesperson for WarnerMedia said in a statement that the crew member was "a much loved member of The Conners and Roseanne families for over 25 years".

The Conners airs on ABC in the US.
