Aston Villa and Tottenham are both keen to sign Conor Gallagher this summer, but the Chelsea midfielder is reportedly willing to be patient and assess his options.

Gallagher's contract at Chelsea is due to expire at the end of next season and should no agreement be reached on a new contract in the next six months then he faces the prospect of leaving the Blues as a free agent in a year's time.

That is of course if he remains at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer window, with Atletico Madrid also in the race to sign him. Villa boss Unai Emery is a big fan of Gallagher, who is the club's priority this summer.

According to The Guardian, Gallagher is willing to be patient and assess his options before deciding whether to leave Chelsea this summer. The report states that Gallagher is ready to remain at his boyhood club if his demands for a transfer away from the club are not met.

The 24-year-old had an excellent campaign for the Blues under Mauricio Pochettino after making his breakthrough the season before while on loan at Crystal Palace. He missed just one match in the Premier League throughout 2023/24, and that was because of suspension.

Chelsea want £50m for the England international, who is currently gearing up to representing his country at EURO 2024 in Germany.
